This year the Parish Council’s community awards ceremony was held at the George. It was heart-warming to listen to the presentation speeches and see the recipients receiving their awards. Some family members were present and it was an excellent evening.
Later that week the Parish Council held an open morning. A display of photographs illustrated improvements in the village instigated by the councillors. Everyone who called in had the opportunity to voice ideas for the future. Many groups in Tideswell participated and it was interesting to find out more about these.
Both occasions were most positive. A nomination for a community award in 2017 has already been received!
