Cressbrook Crawl

The runners came out in force on a sunny breezy day, 142 in total, plus the usual enthusiastic team of volunteers from our small village which comes alive on the day of the annual Cressbrook Crawl Fell Race.

A stunning and popular route, attracting runners who come for the demanding terrain with 350m of climbing and the free pint of appropriately named Swift Nick from our main sponsors, Peak Ales. Apart from a dislocated shoulder for one runner and three others who retired everything went smoothly. Many runners, supporters and marshals then tucked into a fabulous lunch and famous home made cakes.

A grand day that raised funds to help waterproof the Club buildings, support Mountain Rescue and Peak District Mend our Mountains.
