Litton Village Shop 2015

Despite the atrocious weather in the last 12 months, Derbyshire’s oldest community shop has again had good year.

We have recruited 47 new members from around the area and been successful in raising sufficient funds to install Photo Voltaic Cells on the shop roof. These cells are already reducing our electricity consumption as well as generating some extra income.

In January we hope to complete our redecoration project.

The committee would like to thank Carol, Judy, Karen and Steph, together with all the volunteers for their sterling work during the year.

We would also offer our sincere thanks to all those valued customers and suppliers, whose support is vital in keeping this important community asset going and those people and organisations that donated to our PV cells project.

Please check out our website; Littonvillageshop.co.uk or visit the shop to see the many services we offer to the community. It’s not just a convenience store, if you don’t already use the shop, why not pop along and give it a try; it’s worth it for the cakes alone.
