Tideswell & District Community Association have purchased, with the help of a grant from Derbyshire Dales CVS, a defibrillator for emergency use in and around Tideswell.
It is sited in the Co-op and available from 7am to 10pm seven days a week.
Some people in the village have been trained in its use but the machine can be used by anyone. There are clear instructions spoken by the machine to guide you through the process stage by stage and it is not possible to shock anyone by mistake.
We hope it will never need to be used but if required please do not hesitate – your actions could save someone’s life for long enough to allow an ambulance or professional help to arrive.
