Thanks to everyone in Tideswell and surrounding villages who donate to High Peak Foodbank. This month we particularly need: toilet roll, nappies (size 5), deodorant, shampoo, packet and tinned custard, jam (not home-made).
Allotment holders: If you grow too many vegetables or fruit this year you can donate them to High Peak Foodbank. We will give it to needy families in the local community who are referred to us by professional agencies. Drop off at the United Reformed Church, Hardwick Square East, Buxton SK17 6PT any weekday 4pm-5.30pm or at other times by ringing 01298 214926.
There is a box at the back of St John’s Parish Church, Tideswell, for non-perishable food or toiletries.
The foodbank’s employability programme received a boost recently with a grant to extend it across the borough to support some of the most marginalised people into work.
Best wishes
