NatWest Closure in Tideswell

With the closure of our branch in Tideswell taking place on 23rd September 2015, we’d like to make residents and our customers aware of the ways in which they can continue to undertake day to day NatWest banking in Tideswell through the local Post Office, as well as our telephone, online or mobile banking services, or our ATM. 

We have reached an agreement with the local Post Office, which is a few doors down from the branch so that our customers can check their balance, deposit and withdraw funds, and business customers can get coinage.     

At the Post Office
Personal customers can:

  • Make cash withdrawals using a NatWest chip and PIN debit card, up to £300 per day, or the value of the card limit, whichever is the lower.
  • Obtain balance enquiries using a NatWest chip and PIN debit card.
  • Pay in cash using a NatWest pay-in slip.
  • Pay in cheques using a NatWest pay-in slip (please note cash and cheques cannot be mixed together), and a NatWest Pay in envelope, supplied by the Post Office

Business and Community account customers can:

  • Withdraw cash and check balances using a NatWest chip and PIN debit card – maximum of £500 per day
  • Pay in cash of up to £10,000 per week and coin of £250 per day using a NatWest pay-in slip.
  • Pay in cheques using a NatWest pay-in slip
  • Obtain change subject to prior registration and arrangement with their Natwest Business Manager

Mobile Bank
We are introducing a Mobile Bank service on Tuesdays and Fridays at 12:30pm parking at The George Pub, Commercial Road, Tideswell SK17 8NU, just down from our branch. The Mobile Bank will stop for 45 minutes both days to allow customers to carry out their day to day banking.  A huge thank you to Andrew at The George for allowing us to park in his car park.

Our friendly drivers, Adrian and Steve have worked for NatWest for many years and will welcome you and help you with your Banking needs, or even just show you around! Please note for security purposes cash limits are in place, Adrian and Steve will talk you through these. We also offer a Business Quick Deposit service and carry small amounts of change for Business customers by prior arrangement.

Local NatWest  branches
NatWest Tideswell customers will be welcome at any NatWest branch, and there are 5 other branches within 12 miles.  Our nearest branches are located at Millhouses, Bakewell and Buxton. Please use the branch most convenient for you, our staff will welcome you at all branches.

Your account number and sort code will remain the same after the branch closes.
NatWest Cash Machine
Our cash machine will remain after the branch has closed, and cash withdrawal limits on  debit cards can be increased from the standard limit up to a maximum of £1000 per day for eligible current accounts. If you would like to increase your card limit please pop into the branch where our staff will be happy to change the daily withdrawal limit on your existing card.

Online and Mobile Banking
We continue to offer tutorials for any customers who would like our help in registering and using either NatWest Online Banking or NatWest Mobile Banking. Please pop into the branch if you would like to take advantage of this service.

It was a difficult decision to close NatWest Tideswell, but I hope that the range of options above will support our customers to continue to Bank with us locally.
