This year’s celebration takes place from 29th August to 5th September. All week long homemade refreshments are served in the Village Hall. There are two wells to look at and there will be an exhibition in St. Margaret’s Church. The churchyard well is blessed at 7pm followed by the main well at 7.15pm on Saturday evening Fairfield Band will be playing at the service followed by a barbeque at the village hall. On Wednesday 2nd September there is a whist drive at the village hall from 8pm. On Saturday 5th September there will be a Hoe Down at the Village Hall.
From Tuesday 25th August the main well is dressed at Hargate Wall Farm visitors and helpers are always welcome. For younger well dressers the churchyard well is dressed at Old Hall Farm (for details please contact Ruth on 01298 22529)
The main well board is erected on Friday evening 28th August and is floodlit each evening.
