Remarks
In sharp contrast to April, May was a very dull and very wet month. It was also rather cold. The mean daily maximum temperature of 13.0 deg was 0.9 deg lower than the mean daily maximum for April. The maximum temperature for the month of 17.9 deg was the lowest such figure for May since I started recording here in 2009. The previous lowest was 21.1 deg in May 2011.
