On Saturday 6th June, the Barber family, who run The Jungle pet shop, turned out to support Diabetes UK.
The stall they held at the Buxton Rotary Bazaar had a novel way of raising funds. The Leopard tortoise, Cleo, was brought along, for people to guess her age. Guesses ranged from 3 yrs to 128 yrs. A little girl named Maisie correctly said that Cleo is 13 and won a £20 voucher for the Jungle and a smart T shirt. Well done Maisie.
£88 was raised for Diabetes UK, and information leaflets were handed out to around 150 individuals.
