Something different this month – we try to ring the changes! We have chosen the classic 1960s comedy western, ‘Cat Balou’. Starring Jane Fonda, Nat King Cole and Lee Marvin (who won an Oscar for his performance), this film is full of fun and peppered with song, though with some darker undertones. When her father’s ranch is being threatened by the railroad, Cat hires a notorious gunman to protect it – but finds he is not quite what she expected! Come along to see what happens.
‘Cat Balou’ will be shown on Thursday 30th April at 7.30pm in The George Inn. It is open to all, as guest members are welcome (£4.75). The landlord is happy to serve meals before the start of the film, making it a complete night out.
