The Leprosy Mission

Each year we have the opportunity in Tideswell to hear about the work of The Leprosy Mission as they seek to support, as well as treat, people who suffer from this horrible disease. Leprosy can so easily be treated, yet still thousands of people, usually living in some of the poorest parts of the world, are maimed by its effects. In Nepal alone, around 3,500 new cases are detected each year.

Pamela Levens, who worked with the Mission for several years, will be speaking at Fountain Square Church at 2pm on Wednesday 11th March. Come along and learn about some of the impressive help they are able to give.
