We have lift off! We now have a bank account in which to deposit our grant cheque and the cash raised at the Christmas Community Coffee Morning.
GETTING READY… our potatoes, onions and shallot sets have arrived along with packets of seeds – lots of favourites that we know work like swiss chard, leeks and beans but also some we haven’t tried before including something called cucamelon: ‘a grape size fruit that tastes like watermelon with a tinge of lime’. Not sure if they will like the Tideswell climate but we’ll give them a try.
Pete Nash has given us some seeds to grow as well.
Brian has planted chillies and peppers down in the balmy south, to be ready for Food Festival stall to raise some more money.
