Tideswell Cinema Live starts off November with a suitably Halloween shiver – an encore of the acclaimed National Theatre production of Frankenstein.
Directed by Danny Boyle and starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller, the broadcast starts at 7pm, Mon Nov 3 upstairs at the George Inn – tickets £10.
Then we can all bask in Italian sunshine with a live broadcast of Donizetti’s opera L’Elisir d’Amore, starring the renowned Welsh bass-baritone Bryn Terfel, from the Royal Opera House on Wed November 26 at 7.15pm. Combining a love story with comedy and beautiful music, this production is set in the sun-drenched countryside of 1950s Italy, with haystacks, scooters and even a stray dog. Tickets £15 (£12.50 conc).
Finally a date for your December diary – Tuesday December 9 sees the National Theatre Live broadcast of JOHN, a new dance-theatre work with adult themes, strong language and nudity. Starts 7pm, tickets £10.
