A very dry, warm and sunny month. Overall warmth was mostly due to the very persistently warm
daytime temperatures. There were no exceptionally hot days but the most notable feature was the
complete absence of cool days. Although well above average the mean temperature for the month
was 1.0 deg cooler than the mean for July 2013.
