2.30 – 5.0 pm on Saturday, July 5th 2014 Have you put the date in your diary? Very soon you’ll be able to get your tickets from Litton Village Shop. Don’t miss it!
There’ll be music and dancing and a tea party and you’ll be able to hear WW1 poems on a Soundscape in the church garden and Derbyshire’s Poet Laureate will be there with a poem she’s written about Miss Penfold who gave us the field. The re-dedication of the field will be a part of it and poppies galore hopefully and lots of other fun things!
And the day before, Friday 4th July, in the church at 6.00 pm. there’ll be a concert with choirs, bands and school children singing. There’ll be readings and audience participation etc. Most of the items will be on the theme of peace, remembrance and the pity of war. Come and join us whether you live in Litton or not.
