Tideswell Bowling Club are opening their 2014 outdoor season on Saturday 29th March (elements permitting), and like most clubs and organisations we aim to recruit new members of any age, male, female, and juniors. So if you are a lapsed bowler, or someone who has never tried your hand at Crown Green bowling and would be interested in having a go, why not come along, have a go and see what the club is all about and what it has to offer. We would be pleased to talk to any potential new members and arrange tutorials for beginners if required.
We have a club night on Fridays and during the season play in three competitive leagues as well as playing friendly matches with other clubs around the area and running our own in-club competitions.
As a member the green and our excellent facilities are open for your use every day of the season (six months) except when it is being used for matches or competitions.
Anyone who might be interested in joining and increasing their social contacts in the village, as well as getting fresh air and exercise in pleasant friendly surroundings is invited to contact John Hallows (07850 534002) or Alan Thornton (01298 872301) or come along and introduce yourself at the green.
