Every year a speaker comes to Tideswell to talk about the work of the mission amongst people who suffer from leprosy. This is a disease of poverty that can easily be treated, but too often, through fear, diagnosis comes too late, and nerve damage results in disability. It is a much misunderstood disease, and people who contract it are pushed to the very margins of society.
If you would like to learn more, this year’s meeting is on Wednesday 19th March at 2.30pm, in the Institute (behind the Parish Church). All are welcome.
