I know that having a chain across the Pursglove school drive in the morning has upset some people, but we have a duty of care for all of you, children, parents, grand parents and carers, and that is really important to us. We have a statutory obligation and responsibility for all of you that we take very seriously.
I‘ve been a governor, for about 13 years and the school has encouraged people to walk those few hundred yards – it’s exercise (another responsibility we have) a chance to talk and mix and I see you talking and mixing. I see laughter as you’re asking what sort of a day our small precious people had at school. At the end of the day, we all go home in one piece for another day at school. At the risk of being called emotional, how would you feel if one your nearest and dearest had an accident on our drive (our school – our community)? Inevitably we would be blamed … for not having a little chain across the drive!
Sleep well & drive safely… but not up the drive please.
Griff, a Governor.
