I have been commissioned to write a book entitled ‘Church Lads Brigade – 16th (Service) Brigade – King’s Royal Rifle Corps. The book will be in bookshops in 2014 (for the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War).
The book features boys from the Church Lads’ Brigades and five of those boys were from Tideswell.
I am looking for families who might have memories, photos and letters that I could ask permission to include.
They are: Rifleman H Barber c 428, Sergeant Jesse Brightmore c480, Rifleman S Goodwin c432, Rifleman R Lomas c423, and Lance-Corporal J.H Norman c657.
I have all of the basic details and they were all wounded, but I would like to add personal stories if I can find family members.
