We plan to collect donations of wood for the bonfire during the week beginning October 28. Telephone Alan Brignell 871893; Andrew Turner 871902 or Judy Cooke 872408 with details of you and your wood contributions by October 25 so routes can be planned.
1st trailer load is free, with £5 donation appreciated for subsequent loads. Wood must be manageable and safe to handle. Please be there to help with your wood.
We always need extra help with this wood collection, so please let Andrew and Alan know when you can help. There is no public access to the bonfire site to avoid fly tipping.
Bonfire & Fireworks Display Saturday 2 November at Bishop Pursglove School. Meet at Fountain Square 18.15 – Judging of the Guys 18.30 – Parade starts 19.00 – Bonfire lit 19.30 – Firework display 21.30 – Site closed
Tickets available from the post office. Adults £4.50, 12 and Unders £2.50. An extra 50p for both on the gate. Hot food and drinks available.
GUY COMPETITION Most Original Guy, made at home, will win a prize and lead the parade, so get making! Judging at 18.15 in Fountain Square.
