Tideswell Arts Forum is an informal group with a fluctuating membership which has consisted of representatives from various groups in the village including the churches, Tideswell Community Players, Tideswell Singers, Bishop Pursglove School and other individuals.
It was originally set up after the very successful Community Music Project led by Pete Rosser in 2004. Many wanted to maintain the momentum and organise combined events similar to the Big Gig which showcased the project. Although there hasn’t been anything on that scale as yet, the team has supported events in the village such as the Arts Festival during Wakes week, Later at the George and hosting professional performances. Tideswell has a thriving community of artists and involvement with the Arts Forum could help us develop links with each other. Tideswell Arts Forum would like to extend a welcome to representatives of local organisations and individuals who would like to be involved as we relaunch at a meeting on Tuesday 7 May in The George 8pm.
