Eric Parker , from Dove Holes, is best known in Tideswell as the organiser of the Line Dancing group on Tuesday evenings in the Institute.
For 27 years Eric has been the Treasurer of High Peak Diabetic Self Help Group. He has now retired from that role, but is still a respected and valued member of the group. The group is also grateful to members of Tideswell Parish Church for the display which runs through April. Anyone who has diabetes, or who has a member of their family with diabetes, knows how isolated people feel, especially when they are first diagnosed. The group welcomes new members to its meetings at the Buckingham Hotel on the third Monday of each month, at 7.00pm.
