In answer to a recent enquiry to Digital Derbyshire who are coordinating the speeding up of Broadband in rural Derbyshire about the promised Autumn start date for Tideswell’s upgrade, I received the following.
Hi Pete, there have been some engineering challenges delaying the 3 cabinets we are undertaking works at in Tideswell. This is expected to be rectified by Spring next year.
“In progress” indicates that work is currently underway in that area. Once work is completed the list of postcodes impacted are sent over to us and then the website is updated as “available for service”. As they are only sent quarterly, its worth checking which cabinet you are fed from as we advertise when cabinets go live fortnightly on our website – this may give you the most up to date picture.
You can check which cabinet you are “fed from” and see when fibre becomes available for you to purchase on the wholesale broadband checker (there is a link to this on our website along with details on how to use it).
