Exceptionally dry but both March 2011 (14.6 mm) and April 2011 (15.1 mm) were drier. The lowest 30-day running total during the recent dry spell was 17.0 mm in the 30 days ending 29th Sep 2014. That doesn’t come close to the lowest 30-day running total since I started keeping records in Jan 2009 which is 1.0 mm in the 30 days ending 4th May 2011.
A warm month but not as warm as Sep 2011 (mean 13.8). The warmth was due mainly to above average daytime temperatures.
