Tideswell is a vibrant and active community with a variety of organisations which promote events for locals and visitors to participate in. Many have an overlap of membership so that organisers are aware of other activities but this is not always the case and sometimes things can be arranged at inconvenient times. Clashes cannot always be avoided, but some can be less disruptive than others.
So I would like to suggest that all our organisations make full use of the Village Voice calendar which is available at villagevoicetideswell.org.uk/events.
This way people will know when school holidays occur, when Wakes festivities take place, when there are important church festivals and other general calendar events as well as cinema screenings, play productions, concerts and football, cricket matches, meetings of local support groups – and here I’d better stop listing for fear of offending and missing someone out!
Please take full advantage of this great facility; it will really help co-ordinate activities in the village.
