Each year Tideswell Parish Council meets to discuss the precept (the money used by the Parish Council from the Council Tax.)
Good news! This year we will not increase the sum residents will pay us.
The Council has worked hard to cut costs, while maintaining the appropriate service to the public.
Our Parish Clerk, Lesley Bramwell has been on paid sick leave from her job as clerk to Tideswell Parish Council since May 2013, and her duties have been undertaken by Janice Jackson, Interim Clerk. Therefore we have had additional, unexpected expense. Despite this we have not increased the precept.
At the Annual Parish Meeting later this spring we will discuss fully all of our finances. The Christmas lighting arrangements will also be discussed and residents views sought.
