Your Kitchen Garden has been transformed over two years from derelict land to a thriving fruit, vegetable and herb garden. This is all down to the work of volunteers in the village who have given equipment, landscaping materials, plants and hours of hard work.
Well it’s time to celebrate our achievement as a village and say a thank you to all those involved.
On Sunday 23rd June from 12.30 you are invited to join us in the Kitchen Garden behind The Institute for a BBQ and refreshments and because itâs Wakes Week we have both the 2013 Wakes Queen and the 1949 Wakes Queen to help with the official opening.
Everyone is welcome so come and join in.
The Kitchen Garden is the ‘Grow It’ part of Taste Tideswell. It is open to the whole community to get involved with vegetable growing; for those who don’t have a garden, want to lean more about growing, or can pass on their skills to others in the village. The garden is supported by Tideswell School of Food in return for garden produce.
Sunday 23rd June from 12.30 p.m. in the Kitchen Garden, behind The Institute.
